Type: Residential, National Outline Plan 38 (TAMA 38), Expansion of an existing building
Project Text:
Renovation and expansion of an existing residential block according to national outline plan no. 38
Two full levels and a partial roof level were added to the existing structure of 3 adjoining residential buildings in a staggered formation. The renovation also included the addition of steel balconies, residential secure spaces, enclosing the ground floor to create entry lobbies and developing the grounds with parking and landscape, as well as the addition of elevators into the existing stairwells.
In creating a new contemporary building envelope the project aims to join the separate volumes into one cohesive volume while still allowing for the individual entries to feel autonomous.
